On Android 4.4 KitKat, Google has highly integrated Google Now into the home screen. It has now a dedicated panel, which can be accessed with a swipe to the left. Also, you’re able to trigger Google Now without touching your device by saying “Okay Google”.

The possibility to activate Google Now on the home screen by voice is, for now, only possible on the LG Nexus 5, but it seems that Google is working on a solution to bring this feature for older smartphones.
